The Pallet

I have always wanted to learn sign language, but my number one pitfall is losing interest as soon as I start. Thanks to Youtube, there is a tutorial for almost anything, but this has not helped me at all. Over the years, I have realized that I learn more with my hands. I am an experiential learner. If I can incorporate learning in my day to day without having to sit in class, then I can learn for life.
Now in comes Pallet Caffe, Garden cafe in Lavington promoting the training and employment of disabled persons in the foodservice community.

The cafe is set up in an open field and is surrounded by an air of creativity. You walk into an art gallery from the seats, the tables, the centerpieces, the menus, the warmers, the bill holders, the restroom, every little detail is part of the gallery.

Since the cafe is out to empower the disabled, some of their waiters are deaf.

Check them out here

This is part of the story that you pull over your chair and lean over.

I get to try out their wide range of coffee and learn sigh language while at it. How cool is that? So I make it a point to go over to Google to find out how to sign some basic conversation so that I can interact with the waiters.

Now I can ask how their day was /is, ask for direction ( to the restroom haha, tell them that the food was/is delicious, sign the alphabets, tell someone she/he is cute/or ugly *hide*, say thank you, please, you are welcome, ask for water, etc ( Aka basic conversation) So we can hold a conversation in sign language! I am elated!

Have you bean (been) to the pallet? *sic*

Also, what is your Grind?
